Hello, my name is Melinda Sauder and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from The Florida State University, Board Certified in 1995.  I also have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Walden University and hold a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Associate) credential in the state of Washington. (#SWAIC.SC70011072). I am a member of the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work. 

My counseling practice specializes in couples work and postpartum wellness. Through a warm and affirming Rogerian lens, I hold space utilizing unconditional positive regard to help navigate through depression, anxiety, grief and loss. 

As a clinical music therapist, my experience spans Birth-21 special education school district services, adults with developmental delays and elderly people with Alzheimer's/other dementias. 

I see clients in-person in Poulsbo, WA and Bainbridge Island, WA. Alternatively, I offer sessions via telehealth with clients anywhere in Washington state on the HIPPA-secure platform Doxy.me . I do not bill insurance and accept private pay only at $130 per 50 minute sessions. Happy however, to provide a superbill for reimbursement from your insurance.

Married 34 years with three children, my husband and I most enjoy spending time in the forest and by the water.
